United Forest of the Democratic Republic of Congo (UFURDC) is a community-based organization committed to the protection of tropical forests and the sustainable development of local communities in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Our mission is to conserve forest ecosystems in the Democratic Republic of Congo through community-led conservation initiatives, sustainable land-use practices, forest monitoring, and environmental education. We aim to protect biodiversity while creating long-term social and economic benefits for forest-dependent communities
What we do
We design and implement forest conservation and protection projects, support sustainable livelihoods, promote biodiversity conservation, and collaborate with local and international partners to combat deforestation and climate change.
